skating was invented in the 60s/70s. and was called sidewalk surfing. Coz it was just like surfing on land. The first people to be skateboarding legends, were the Z-boys (stacy perallta, Tony Alva, J-adams) and they skated pools alot!
then skateboarding evolved, into well manafactuared boards and a range of technical tricks, tht we owe thanks to rodney mullen for.the science behind skating, As it was he who invented the flatland ollie, and the kickflip, which is the basis of variel flips and tre flips. Rodeney is still inventing tricks today!another legend of the same generation as rodney, is Tony Hawk. who was first to land the 900, and created what was one of the most popular skate teams (till know skatboarding came along) BIRDHOUSE.
from then on fashion, tricks, and skate spots have changed. But skating is forever!
